IAC BOWLING: CANDOR GIRLS SWEEP GROTON; SHORT-HANDED BOYS SWEPT (December 18, 2025)
Tioga County Sports ReportOWEGO — The Candor girls earned four points against a short-handed Groton Thursday afternoon in IAC bowling action, while the short-handed Candor boys dropped a 4-0 decision here at the Owego Bowl.
GIRLS
Candor 4, Groton 0Calli Marsh rolled a 515 series, including a 209, to lead the Coyotes to a 2,086 to 1,381 total-pinfall win over the four-bowler squad fro Groton.
Alison Johnston shot a 458 for Candor, while Zoe Travis had a 420, and Makenna Nixon had a 350.
Krysten Nixon added a 317 in the sweep, and Raina Schneider tacked on a 316.
Madelyn Pitts led Groton with a 462.
BOYS
Groton 4, Candor 0The four-bowler Coyote squad kept it close losing the goal-pinfall point by a count of 2,201 to 1,903.
Malcolm Jackson led Candor with a 542 series, while Riley Bauer shot a 486, Stanley Winnick added a 439, and Conner Kelloff tacked on a 436.
Elija Brehm led Groton with a 553 series.
Candor returns to action Jan. 6 when it hosts Newark Valley.
