TIOGA COUNTY SPORTS REPORT: OWEGO'S CRAFT, NEWARK VALLEY'S CALLAHAN NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (December 17, 2025)

TIOGA COUNTY — Owego senior RaeAnne Craft made a triumphant return to the mats Friday, while senior Titus Callahan was dominant in capturing the 190-pound title at the Dave Buck Memorial Tournament. They are the TCSR / Guthrie Community Credit Union "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Dec. 13.

OWEGO'S CRAFT NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Craft, who missed the end of last season with a shoulder injury, scored three pins and two technical falls to win the 152-pound weight class at the U-E Tradesman Tournament.

Craft scored falls in 1:52, 1:04 and 42 second, and won via technical falls in 48 and 1:27.

Honorable Mentions: Owego's Michaela Daly (wrestling), Candor's Calli Marsh (bowling), S-VE's Lauren Gillette (basketball), Newark Valley's Isabella King (wrestling), SVEC's Taylor Zufall (wrestling), and Newark Valley's Haven Aylesworth (basketball).

NEWARK VALLEY'S CALLAHAN NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Callahan went 5-0, including four first-period pins, to win the 190-pound bracket at the annual Dave Buck Memorial Tournament in Elmira.

Callahan registered pins in 24 and 29 seconds, as well as 1:27 and 1:56. He scored a 15-0 technical fall in 2:47 in the finals.
