HS INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: PALLADINO, HEATH VICTORIOUS AT 607 INVITATIONAL (December 14, 2025)

CORTLAND — Owego’s Stella Palladino and Gavin Heath raced to victory at the 607 Invitational 2 p.m. meet at SUNY Cortland Saturday. Palladino won the 55-meter dash while Heath took top honors in the 300.

GIRLS
Making her season debut, Palladino bested 41 other sprinters in the 55 dash with a time of 7.7 seconds. She also placed second in the 300, clocking 44.48 seconds.

Distance standout Jaelyn Chrysler recorded a pair of fourth-place finishes, posting a time of 1:58.76 in the 600 and 3:29.56 in the 1,000.

Paige DeProspero took 15th in the 1,000 with a time of 4:08.58

BOYS
Heath, coming off a victory in the 600 at the Ithaca College Bomber High School Invitational six days ago, added a win in the 300, clocking 36.85 seconds.

Ryker Chrysler placed third in the 600 in 1:33.89.

Cadon Wasielewski came in 14th in the 1,000 in 3:06.43 and Arion Vandenburg took 25th in the 300 with a time of 46.03 seconds.

The River Hawks’ 4x200 relay placed ninth with a time of 1:47 flat.

Owego returns to SUNY Cortland Saturday for the Section IV Classic.
