HS GIRLS WRESTLING: CRAFT RETURNS, LEADS OWEGO TO 5TH PLACE AT U-E (December 12, 2025)

ENDICOTT — Owego standout RaeAnn Craft made her return to the mat Friday and dominated the 152-pound weight class at the Union-Endicott Girls Wrestling Tournament here.
Craft, who suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in January, recorded three pins and two tech falls. The pins came in 1:52, 1:04 and 42 seconds and the techs came at 48 seconds and 1:27. She teched top-seeded Isabella King, 10-0, for first place.
Michaela Daly placed third at 120, pinning four of her five opponents. The falls came in 2:43, 1:02, 1:29 and 1:11. Her loss came to eventual champion Emily Phelps of Chenango Forks by an 11-0 tech fall.
Tatum Kowalski took fourth at 138, going 3-2 with victories by fall in 46, 40 and 25 seconds.
Carissa Chandler finished fifth at 132 with a 4-1 record and spent less than three minutes on the mat during her wins. She registered falls in 56, 25, 24 and 47 seconds.
Lauren Kotski, competing at 138, was fifth also and was 4-1. She spent very little time on the mat during her wins, three of which came in 38, 31 and 34 seconds. She also won by default.
Kaylie Cote (94), Lucy Purtell (107) and Makenna Wilbur (138) were all sixth. Purtell and Wilbur was 3-2, Purtell won twice and Cote added a win.
Ashlee Crawford-Bauer (114) was 2-1 on the day, Jocelynn Sullivan (165) picked up a pair of victories and Izzy Taylor tacked on a win.
Tioga won the team championship with 135.5 points, edging out Elmira (134). Chenango Forks was third with 127, U-E took fourth with 121 and the River Hawks were fifth in the 19 team event with 115 points.
