ENDICOTT — Isabella King garnered runner-up honors to highlight four top five showings at the Union-Endicott Girls Wrestling Tournament here Friday.
King went 4-1 at 152, pinning her first four victims in 1:45, 39 seconds, 1:30 and 1:16. Her lone setback came by tech fall to Owego standout RaeAnn Craft.
Hadley Merrill (100) and Billeigh Dawson (132) contributed fourth-place efforts. Dawson was 3-2 with a forfeit win, and falls in 1:15 and 1:42 while Merrill scored a 14-second pin.
Tressa Middendorf (94) placed fifth with a 3-2 mark. She had a pin in 2:07 and a tech fall in 30 seconds. Her other win was by default.
Malorie Gregrow (132) and Emily LaPorte (138) were seventh with 3-2 records. Abigail Escalante (120) and Kailyn Harvey (126) recorded one victory apiece to place eighth.
NV placed ninth in the 19-team event with 81.5 points. Tioga won the team championship with 135.5 points, edging out Elmira (134). Chenango Forks was third with 127, U-E took fourth with 121 and Owego was fifth with 115.
