TIOGA COUNTY SPORTS REPORT: OWEGO'S JOHNSON, SNYDER, McEVOY NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (December 12, 2025)

Tioga County Sports Report
TIOGA COUNTY — Owego seniors Calvin Smith and Duke Snyder, and freshman Jenna McEvoy led their respective River Hawk teams to titles at the Charlie Sibley Memorial Tournaments. They are the TCSR / Guthrie Community Credit Union "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Dec. 6.

OWEGO'S SMITH, SNYDER NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"
Snyder averaged 14.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Smith averaged 14.5 points and 5 rebounds in wins over Vestal and Candor.

In the opening game of the Sibley, Snyder scored 15 points, and Smith added 13 in a 53-50 win over Vestal.

In the championship game, Smith scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and Snyder added 14 points in a 61-51 win Candor.

OWEGO'S McEVOY NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
McEvoy averaged 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals in wins over Tioga and Moravia at the Sibley Tournament.

In the opening game, McEvoy 24 points, three rebounds, and four steals in 49-21 win over Tioga.

In the championship game, McEvoy had 14 points, five rebounds and four steals in a 53-50 win over Moravia.
