GROTON — The Newark Valley bowling teams kept their sweep streak alive Tuesday, both defeating Groton, 4-0, at Memory Lanes here. Both teams are now 16-0 on the season.
BOYS
NV 4, Groton 0
The Cardinals pulled away early, winning the opening game, 844-652. They went on to win the next two, 704-684 and 843-738, and took the total pinfall, 2361-2074.
Will Simmons rolled a 185-529 to lead NV while Devon Green added a 198-518.
Mason Peck had the top game, opening with a 203, and finished with a 500 series. John Sloughter contributed a 161-429, Kayleb Jackson had a 145-385 and Reese Illsley added a 125-327.
Jonathan Hinkle led the Red Hawks with a 592 series which included games of 232 and 200.
GIRLS
NV 4, Groton 0
Rachel Hartman posted a 215-565 to lead the Newark Valley effort.
Abigail Debolt rolled a 171-469 and Abigal Dufresne added a 172-446. Brooke Illsley shot a 170-381 and MaeAnna Jackson had a 129-377.
Madelyn Pitts paced Groton with 532 series.
The Cardinals won, 792-499, 756-509 and 690-530, and took the total pinfall, 2238-1538.
