LANSING — Lansing rode five falls, four in the first period to defeat Spencer-Van Etten/Candor, 36-28, in an IAC crossover match here Wednesday.
Among the winners for the Bobcats were Evan Sheils, ranked fifth at 144 by
New York Wrestling News, and Owen Clark, the second-ranked 150-pounder. Clark won by fall in 1:20 and Sheils scored a pinned in 1:43.
Cooper Zufall recorded the Eagles’ lone win on the mat, rolling to a 16-3 major decision over Hudson Reichard.
SVEC received four forfeit victories — Rodney Vaow (138), Kamren Westbrook (144), Kaden Sims (215) and Jak Smith (285).
The Eagles (0-1) compete in the Matt Fedish Memorial Duals at Chenango Valley Friday and Saturday.
