MEN'S COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY: OWEGO GRAD STUART RUNS TO TOP-10 FINISH AT EMPIRE 8 CHAMPIONSHIPS (November 11, 2025)

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Owego grad Jace Stuart, a junior on the St. John Fisher men's cross country team, raced to a top-10 finish here recently in the Empire 8 Men's Cross Country Championship, which the Cardinals hosted. 

Stuart, who's been Fisher's top performer all season, place eighth in a field of 118 runners in the 8-kilometer race. He clocked in with a time of 26:44.0, just shy of Andrew Ford's program course-record time of 26:40.0. 

Utica University junior Bennett Melitta won the Empire 8 title with a time of 25:34.2.

St. John Fisher finished sixth in the team standings.

Stuart has placed in the top 25 in each of the three 8K races he has competed in this season.
