COLLEGE WRESTLING: NEWARK VALLEY GRAD MIDDENDORF OFF TO STRONG START AT BROCKPORT (November 10, 2025)

Trevor Middendorf, a freshman on the SUNY Brockport wrestling team, finished fourth at his first collegiate tournament on Nov. 1, and won in his first dual match.
Middendorf won his first two collegiate matches on his way to a 3-2 mark and a fourth-place finish at the Messiah Invitational.
Middendorf won his first match via a 22-6 technical fall over Elizabethtown's Roman Polcha, then scored a 19-3 technical fall win over Ursinus' Gabe Tulone in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, Middendorf dropped a 6-3 decision to Ursinus' Michael Adams.
In the consolation semifinals, Middendorf met Polcha again, and scored a 19-4 technical fall.
In the third-place match, Brockport teammate Robert Armstrong pinned Middendorf in 2:15.
On Friday, Middendorf scored a 20-3 technical fall win over RIT's Jonathan Freeborn to give Brockport an early 5-0 lead, but RIT finished with three straight wins for a 21-20 victory in the season-opening dual.
Brockport returns to action Saturday at the Wilkes Invitational at Wilkes University.
