TIOGA COUNTY SPORTS REPORT: SVEC'S AMAN, OWEGO'S HAMED NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2025-10-26)

TIOGA COUNTY — SVEC senior Logan Aman continued to put up eye-popping numbers in a win over Groton, and Owego senior Maggie Hamed led the River Hawks into the STAC volleyball championship game. They are the Tioga County Sports Report / Guthrie Community Credit Union "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Oct. 25.

SVEC'S AMAN NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Aman accounted for five TDs and 346 yards in total offense in the Eagles' 41-8 win over Groton.

Aman carried the ball 16 times for 280 yards and four TDs, had one reception for 48 yards and a TD, and completed his only pass for 18 more yards. 

He scored on runs of 93 12, 59, and 67 yards, and caught a 48-yard TD pass.

OWEGO'S HAMED NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
The River Hawks lost their season finale, but bounced back to sweep M-E in the STAC volleyball semifinals, and Hamed had strong outings in both matches.

Maggie Hamed registered 20 kills, two blocks, and eight digs in a five-set loss to Windsor

She led Owego with 16 kills and 10 digs in the STAC semis.
