WOMEN'S COLLEGE SOCCER: NEWARK VALLEY GRAD FINTA SCORES TWO GOALS IN SUNY BROOME'S SEASON FINALE (2025-10-26)

TROY, N.Y. — Newark Valley grad Adrianna Finta, a freshman on the SUNY Broome women's soccer team, had a big game, but it wasn't enough as the Hornets dropped a 5-3 decision to Hudson Valley Community College here Wednesday.

HVCC led 3-0 at the half, and scored twice early in the second half to take a 5-0 lead.

Finta scored an unassisted goal midway through the half, then assisted on a goal less than three minutes later to close the gap to 5-2.

Finta scored another unassisted goal with less than 10 minutes remaining to provide the final margin.

Finta's two goals and one assist up her totals for the season to 11 goals, including three game-winners, and eight assists in 13 games. She has taken 34 shots this season, including five against HVCC.

The Hornets wrap up the season at 3-8-2.
