COLLEGE FOOTBALL: OWEGO GRAD BIDWELL HAS BEST GAME OF CAREER IN ALFRED'S LOSS TO UTICA (2025-10-26)

ALFRED, N.Y. — Owego grad Steven Bidwell, a junior on the Alfred University football team, had the best game of his career in the Saxon's loss to Utica University here Saturday afternoon at Yunevich Stadium.

Bidwell had a career-high in carries, yardage and TDs — running for 65 yards on 11 carries, and two TDs — in a 56-28 loss to Utica.

Bidwell scored on runs of 1 and 8 yards.

Owego grad Jack Buchsbaum, a freshman, had one catch for five yards for the Saxons.

For the season, Bidwell has 212 rushing yards and four TDs on 60 carries, as well as three receptions for 2 yards.

Buchsbaum has 28 receptions for 339 yards.

Alfred University, now 3-4, returns to action Saturday at Brockport State.
