STAC GIRLS SWIMMING: OWEGO TOPS GREENE; FALLS TO UNBEATEN WAVERLY IN REGULAR-SEASON FINALE (2025-10-22)
Tioga County Sports ReportGREENE — Owego wrapped up the regular season by splitting a pair of decisions in a double-dual meet here Wednesday in girls swimming action.
The River Hawks dropped a 117-57 decision to Waverly, while beating Greene, 120-27.
Junior Riley Masterson notched Owego's only first-place finish of the meet, winning the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:49.29. Sophomore Sawyer Pratt was second in 6:58.55.
The foursome of juniors Ava Murphy and Cecilia Clair, freshman Maliah McMillen, and Pratt finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 2:00.16.
Freshman Reese Hunt finished second in the 200-yard IM in a time of 3:13.51, while junior Hailey Stevens was third in 3:22.48, and senior Isabelle Taylor was fourth in 3:23.54.
Hunt finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:36.35, and Taylor was fourth in 1:37.25.
Pratt finished third in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:32.15, and Clair was fourth in 2:32.65.
Senior Sydney Shoen finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 37.54 seconds.
Clair was fourth in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:23.91.
McMillen was fourth in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:07.88.
Sophomore Xoey Kozakowski was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:32.91.
Waverly returns to action at Section IV, Class B preliminaries on Nov. 5 at Maine-Endwell.
