IAC VOLLEYBALL: UNBEATEN CANDOR CRUISES TO SWEEP OF UNION SPRINGS (18 PHOTOS) (2025-10-17)

CANDOR — Unbeaten Candor ran its record to 12-0 with a quick sweep of Union Springs here Friday night in IAC Small School Division volleyball action.

The Coyotes, who clinched the division title earlier in the week, won by scores of 25-12, 25-15, and 25-10.

Emmi Makie led Candor with 15 service points, including four aces, 10 kills, two blocks, and five digs, while Nicola Soper had four points — all aces, 12 kills, one block, and four digs, and Malley Heidl had five points, 22 setter assists, and four digs.

Montana Vorhis added eight points (two aces) in the win, and Jill Teribury had six points nd two assists, and Nora Young had six points and four digs.

Ava Fernando registered two points, six kills and two blocks for the Coyotes, while Hazel Ray added four points and two kills, and Valeria Polanco-Gil and Lydia Kunte chipped in with four points apiece.

Candor wraps up the regular season Monday when it hosts longtime rival Tioga.
