STAC GIRLS SWIMMING: OWEGO FALLS IN NON-LEAGUE MEET AGAINST SCHUYLER, 98-79 (2025-10-15)
Tioga County Sports ReportWATKINS GLEN — Freshman Reese Hunt was a triple-winner, but Schuyler used superior depth to win a 98-79 decision over Owego here Wednesday evening in non-league girls swimming action at Watkins Glen High School.
Hunt teamed with junior Ava Murphy, sophomore Sawyer Pratt, and freshman Maliah McMillen to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:14.63.
The same foursome won the 400-yard freestyle in a time of 4:52.21.
Hunt won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:33.11, and senior Isabelle Taylor was second in 1:36.96.
Sophomore Ayla Young won the 1-meter diving competition with a six-dive score of 303.15.
Murphy finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:08.95 — just 0.46 behind the winning time of Schuyler's Emily Melveney — and junior Riley Masterson finished third in 2:33.37.
Murphy also finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:04.34.
Pratt finished second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 29.82 seconds.
Junior Hailey Stevens finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:24.98.
McMillen finished third in the 200-yard IM in a time of 3:05.06, and also placed third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:16.87.
Sophomore Maura Wilburn was third in the 500-yard freestyle in 7:30.34.
Owego, now 4-5, closes out the regular season Wednesday in a double-dual against Waverly and Greene at Greene.
