HS CROSS COUNTRY: S-VE COMPETES IN McDANIEL-BAXTER INVITE (2025-10-04)

BINGHAMTON — Kenric Beach led a group of seven Spencer-Van Etten boys competing in the 57th Annual McDaniel-Baxter Cross Country Invitational held at Chenango Valley High School here Saturday.
The senior placed 94th on the 4,000-meter course with a time of 19:41, finishing just ahead of teammate Tristan Jennings. The 8th-grader recorded a time of 19:43, good for 95th place.
A little further back in the field, another 8th-grader, Caleb Paucke, led a string of five Panthers across the finish line, placing 101st in 20:12. Sophomore Landon Alise was 102nd in 21:21 while sophomore Anthony Wintermute was 103rd, closing out the team scoring with a 21:53.
The Panthers placed 12th with 373 points
Also competing were junior William Horyczun, 104th in 22:41 and sophomore Kaiden Shock, 105th with a 23:29.
The Panthers had a trio of girls competing as well. Junior Madelyn Ellison posted a time of 19:42 to place 27th. Senior Grace Bishop was 75th in 25:32 and junior Harley Bly came in 85th with a 30:25.
S-VE heads to Stonehedges Golf Course in Groton on Tuesday for a multi-team meet.
