TIOGA COUNTY — Newark Valley returns to its football roots Saturday with a matinee affair against Deposit-Hancock in celebration of Homecoming Weekend.

There's plenty of invitational action today as well with Owego and S-VE in action at the Horseheads Volleyball Tournament, Owego in action at the Elmira Girls Swimming Invitational, and Candor, Owego, and S-VE in action at the McDaniel-Baxter Cross Country Invite at Chenango Valley High School.

FOOTBALL
Deposit-Hancock at Newark Valley, 1:30 p.m.: The Cardinals are coming off a 31-0 loss at Tioga, while the Lumberjacks rolled to a 59-38 win over B-G.

Newark Valley has been outscored by its opponents this season by an average of 20.2 to 13.6 points per game this season, while D-H is averaging 40.8 points per game, and allowing 29.8 points per game.
