SECTION IV FIELD HOCKEY: WINDSOR ROLLS TO 10-0 WIN OVER NEWARK VALLEY (2025-10-03)
Tioga County Sports ReportNEWARK VALLEY — Windsor raced out to a 4-0 lead after the first quarter, and cruised to a 10-0 win over Newark Valley here Friday afternoon in Section IV field hockey action.
The Black Knights added two goals in the second quarter to take a 6-0 lead into the halftime intermission.
The Cardinals' defense limited the damage in the third quarter, and the lead was 7-0, but Windsor closed out the game with three goals in the final 15 minutes.
Makayla Vanderpool, and Berkley Ingram scored two goals apiece to pace Windsor's attack.
Windsor had 25 shots-on-goal, and nine penalty corners.
Ashleen Callahan recorded 15 saves in the cage for the Cardinals.
Newark Valley returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Owego.
