TIOGA COUNTY — "Football Friday" features a pair of games with state-ranked teams SVEC hosts Delhi, and Owego is on the road at Norwich.

In other action, Owego volleyball and field hockey host league games, while Newark Valley field hockey and girls soccer are also at home.

FOOTBALL
Delhi (3-1) at SVEC (3-1), 7 p.m.: The Eagles are coming off a 42-12 win over Greene-Oxford, while the Bulldogs knocked off arch-rival Walton, 27-16.

SVEC has outscored its opponents this season by an average of 44.5 to 19.5 points per game, while Delhi has outscored its opponents by an average of 31.8 to 22.3.

Delhi is ranked sixth in Class D, while SVEC is an honorable mention.

Owego (2-2) at Norwich (2-2), 7 p.m.: The River Hawks are coming off an 8-6 loss to Maine-Endwell, while the Purple Tornadoes bounced back from its loss to Waverly with a 40-14 win over Ithaca.

Owego has outscored its opponents by an average of 19 to 9, while Norwich has outscored its opponents 29.5 to 21.8 points per game.

Owego is ranked 17th in Class B, while Norwich is an honorable mention.

It's worth noting that the River Hawks' other loss was a season-opening, 7-6, setback at Chenango Forks, ranked No. 1 in the state in Class C.
