STAC GIRLS SWIMMING: OWEGO WINS 11 OF 12 EVENTS IN 129-37 WIN OVER SUS. VALLEY; YOUNG BREAKS ANOTHER DIVING RECORD (2025-10-01)

CONKLIN, N.Y. — Owego won 11 of 12 events to post a 129-37 win over Susquehanna Valley here Tuesday afternoon in STAC girls swimming action.

Eight different River Hawk swimmers won the individual events, and Owego swept the three relays (no names provided).

Freshman Maliah McMillen led a sweep in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:41.63, with sophomore Maura Wilburn second in 2:51.53, and Reese Hunt third in 2:52.47.

Sophomore Sawyer Pratt led a sweep in the 200-yard IM in a time of 3:03.69, with junior Cecilia Clair second in 3:14.02, and Xoey Kozakowski third in 3:54.6.

Junior Riley Masterson won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 31.54 seconds, and junior Liz Williams was second in 33.0 seconds.

Williams won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:13.2, and junior Hailey Stevens was third in 1:17.66.

Clair led a sweep in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 7:12.76, while Pratt was second in 7:34.66, and Wilburn was third in 7:45.15.

Kozakowski won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:35.35, and freshman Abigail Root was third in 1:55.79.

Senior Isabelle Taylor won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:39.93, and McMillen was second in 1:40.76.

Sophomore Ayla Young won the 1-meter diving competition with a six-dive score of 282.75 points, breaking the pool record of 278.7 set by Kaelyn Katchuk in 2023.

Young has already qualified for the state champions after posting an 11-dive score of 463.7 at the Invitational in the Glen two weeks ago. The qualifying standard is 440 points.

Owego won the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:32.11.

The River Hawks also won the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 2:11.05.

Owego also won the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 5:17.96.

Masterson finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:31.17, and Hunt was third in 1:46.94.

Owego returns to action Saturday at the Elmira Invite.
