COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY: OWEGO GRAD STEELE RECORD FIRST COLLEGIATE GOAL, ASSIST AT MISERICORDIA (2025-09-23)

DALLAS, Pa. — Owego grad Ashleigh Steele, a freshman on the Misericordia field hockey team, recorded her first collegiate point and assist in a win over Cortland.

In her fifth game with the Cougars, Steele scored one goal and dished out one assist in a 3-2 win at Cortland.

Steele's goal put Misericordia up 2-1 and was the game-winner. She assisted on the Cougars next goal that made it 3-1.

In six games, Steele has averaged 38 minutes per game. She has taken 10 shots, with six of those shots on-target.

Misericordia, now 5-2, returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Oneonta.
