Tioga County Sports ReportCANDOR — SVEC ran out to a 3-0 halftime lead en route to a 6-2 win over Newark Valley here Tuesday afternoon in IAC South Large School Division boys soccer action.
Nate Morse scored a pair of goals for the Eagles, while Kyle Jantz scored one goal, and doled out three assists, Wyatt Anderson had one goal and one assist, and Xavier Beach and Gage Spencer each added one goal.
Elijah Williams scored both of Newark Valley's goals.
SVEC had a 24-3 advantage in shots-on-goal, and a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.
Aaron Smith recorded seven goals in net for Newark Valley, while Sirron Irvin had one for the Eagles.
SVEC returns to action Thursday at Dryden, while Newark Valley travels to Marathon.
