IAC VOLLEYBALL: NEWARK VALLEY SWEPT BY DRYDEN (2025-09-12)

DRYDEN — Dryden overcame a scrappy Newark Valley in a hard-fought first set on its way to a sweep here Thursday night in IAC crossover volleyball action.

The Purple Lions won by scores of 29-27, 25-18, and 25-15.

Adriana Rich led NV with three kills, two blocks, and two digs, while Haven Aylesworth recorded seven digs and one block, Emma Fenner had three aces, two assists, and two digs, and Aviah Aylesworth had five digs.

Hailey Keith and Rowan Veruto added three digs apiece for the Cardinals, and Emilee Rhodes and Anaya Aylesworth chipped in with two digs apiece.

Newark Valley, now 0-4, returns to action Tuesday at Trumansburg.

JV — Dryden 3, NV 0: Dryden swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 26-24.

Natalie Wandell led NV with six aces, four assists, and 15 good serves, while Polly Hines had five kills, two aces, and three digs, and Alyssa Baldwin added two kills and four assists.
