TIOGA COUNTY — SVEC senior Logan Aman accounted for four TDs in the Eagles' season-opening win, while Candor junior Malley Heidl helped the defending state champion Coyotes to a pair of wins. They are the Tioga County Sports Report / Guthrie Community Credit Union "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Sept. 6.

SVEC'S AMAN NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION'S BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Aman rushed for 226 yards and three TDs — on runs of 32, 45 and 30 yards — on just 13 carries in SVEC's 54-13 win over Harprusville-Afton.

Aman also had an 85-yard kick return for a score in the win.

CANDOR'S HEIDL NAMED GUTHRIE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION'S GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Heidl averaged 11 service points, including four aces, 20 setter assists, 1.5 kills and 1 dig per match in a pair of wins on the week.

Heidl had four points, including two aces, 16 assists and one kill in a sweep of O-M.

She led Candor with 18 points, including six aces, 24 assists, two kills, and two digs in a sweep of Newfield.
