SECTION IV FIELD HOCKEY: S-VE DROPS SEASON-OPENER AT MORAVIA, 5-1 (2025-09-03)

MORAVIA — Moravia jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Its way to a 5-1 win over S-VE here Tuesday afternoon in Section IV field hockey action.

Em Green scored in the opening 90 seconds of the game to give the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead, and Hayley Murphy and Brooke Proper added goals to make it 3-0.

Megan Williamson scored off a feed from Rylee Silvernail late in the first quarter to close the gap to 3-1.

Brooklyn Lott and Green added goals for the Blue Devils to provide the final margin.

Moravia, now 3-0, had a 11-4 advantage in shots-on-goal, and both teams had five penalty corners.

Kaylee Kastenhuber recorded five saves in the cage for the Panthers, and Sophie Sunday had one.

S-VE returns to action Wednesday at Newark Valley.
