YOUTH FOOTBALL: HORSEHEADS SWEEPS THREE GAMES FROM SVEC IN SEASON-OPENERS (22 PHOTOS) (2025-09-02) Tioga County Sports Report HORSEHEADS — It was the opening weekend for the Southern Tier Youth Football League, and Horseheads won a pair of close contests in three-game sweep of SVEC on Sunday.
Horseheads edged SVEC, 42-38, in the flag football (grades 1-2) game, then pulled out a 15-7 win in the "B" (grades 3-4) game.
Horseheads finished off the day with a 33-12 win in the "A" (grades 5-6) game.
