TIOGA COUNTY SPORTS REPORT: OFA'S DODGE SELECTED AS 2025 "GIRLS ATHLETE OF THE SPRING" (2025-06-29)

TIOGA COUNTY - Owego's Olivia Dodge was the driving force for a River Hawks' flag football team that made it all the way to overtime of the New York State Class C Championship. The senior excelled on both sides of the ball, breaking several single season school records in the process to earn Tioga County Sports Report 2025 "Girls Athlete of the Spring."
This season Dodge totaled 929 receiving yards to go with 22 receiving touchdowns, both being school records. She set the school record for most tackles in a season as well, leading the team with 119. Dodge racked up a single season school record, 13 interceptions in 2025, three of which she returned for touchdowns, also the Owego single season record.
Dodge also finished the spring with the most touchdowns overall in a single season for Owego with 34, while captaining OFA flag to a sectional and regional title, on top of the team's first trip to the state title game.

Lindsey Morse, junior, Candor:
Candor's Morse began her run at states, when she placed second for Small School at the IAC Championships in the 100-meter hurdles, while also winning the long jump. Morse then went on to the Section IV Class Championships and earned third in the 100 hurdles, before heading to the State Qualifier and winning the event for Class C in the day-two final, running a school record 15.88. Candor's Morse made the podium at the NYSPHSAA Track & Field Championships, grabbing the final spot in the finals of the Class C 100-meter hurdles before placing fourth with a time of 15.99.
Madison McEvoy, senior, Owego:
McEvoy was a two-sport standout this spring. The senior helped captain the OFA lacrosse team to the Class C State Semifinals. She was second on the squad in goals with 56, while also leading Oweog lacrosse in assists with 23. McEvoy earned the milestone of 200 career goals in 2025. Also a top performer in track and field for Owego, McEvoy was a big contributor in the mid-distance events, running her team's fastest 400m time of the season, while also being a member of their highly ranked 4x800-meter relay.
Addison Westbrook, senior, Waverly:
Westbrook was a two-sport performer for the Wolverines, and had a tremendous season on the gridiron. Westbrook hauled in 65 receptions for 980 yards, and 15 TDs — all school records. She also rushed for more than 100 yards, and two TDs. In Waverly's two playoff games, she has 11 catches for 157 yards and two TDs, and ran the ball three times for 75 yards, and one score.
Defensively, Westbrook had a school-record 12 interception, including a school-record four pick-6s. Westbrook finished sixth in the discus at the Section IV, Class C Track & Field Championships.
Lexi Herceg, senior, Owego:
Herceg pulled double duty for the River Hawks this spring, contributing in a big way for two different runs to the New York State Final Four, both in lacrosse and flag football. Herceg finished the 2025 lacrosse season with 57 goals to lead the team, while also being a shutdown corner for her flag football team's defense and a top-notch receiving threat on offense. For the flag season, Herceg finished with nine receiving scores, five rushing tds, and one pick-six for 15 total touchdowns.
RaeAnne Feeko, junior, Tioga:
Tioga's RaeAnne Feeko hit .647, with 43 hits in 67 at-bats, including 13 doubles, two triples, and seven home runs. She also had 37 RBI, 40 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases. Feeko was walked six times and hit by pitches five times for an on-base percentage of .692. She had a slugging percentage of 1.209 for an OPS of 1.901. Feeko was also one of the best defensive shortstops in the area and went 1-0 in the pitcher's circle as well, with 10 strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings pitched.
Jaelyn Chrysler, junior, Owego:
Owego's Chrysler was fantastic in the distance events all spring. Chrysler picked up two Section IV Class B Championships this season, winning both the 1500m and 3000-meter runs. At the State Qualifier, Chrysler also finished first in Class B for the girls' 3000m, clocking 11:12.49, before heading to day two of the meet and winning the 1500m for Class B as well with a time of 5:05.43, her season best. This qualified Owego's Chrysler for two different events at the NYSPHSAA Track and Field Championships. She finished ninth in her heat for the 3000 at states, clocking 11:06.90, while running a 5:05.97 in the 1500.
