Owego girls have a busy day of postseason action, with the flag football team competing in the Class C State Semifinals at Homer High School this morning, while River Hawks girls' lacrosse is in Regional Finals action at Chenango Valley High School this afternoon.
FLAG FOOTBALL
OFA vs Beekmantown, 9:30 a.m.
(Class C State Semifinal)
Owego is at Homer High School this morning to compete in the Class C Semifinal round of NYSPHSAA Flag Football Championships. Owego squares off with Beekmantown out of Section VII at 9:30 a.m., with the winner to meet either Pioneer or Plainedge on Sunday at Cortland High School in the State Championship.
GIRLS' LACROSSE
OFA vs New Paltz, 4 p.m.
(Class C Regional Final)
The River Hawks face off with New Paltz out of Section IX today at Chenango Valley High School. Owego won the Section IV Class C title last week over Johnson City, 13-6 to advance to today's Regional Final. With a win, OFA would advance to next week's State Semifinal at Cortland.
WRESTLING
Duals On Desmond
The second annual Duals On Desmond All-Star Wrestling Showcase goes down on Desmond Street in Sayre, PA. The event gets started at 2 p.m. with the wrestling portion taking place at 4:45 p.m. and going into the night. Matches will be held that feature All-Stars from New York and Pennsylvania in youth, as well as varsity boys and girls.
