ENDWELL - Owego improved to 16-0 on the season with a 64-45 STAC Metro victory over M-E here Friday.
The Indians scored 19 points in the first quarter to create an 8-point bulge, then extended their lead to 35-22 at halftime.
Owego was able to put the game away with a 16-8 third-quarter difference.
Kaci Donovan pulled down 14 rebounds and balanced her scoring across all four quarters, finishing with a game-high 28 points to complete a double-double. She went 10-for-17, making three of seven 3-point attempts and was 5-for-7 at the free throw line. She also had three assists and three steals.
Anna Felice contributed another 18 points, putting up a dozen in the first half. She hit five of 12 field goal attempts, canned eight of 10 free throws and dished out five assists.
Evee Coleman missed part of the second quarter and most of the third with foul trouble, but scored nine points on 4-for-5 shooting, and grabbed six boards.
Larissa Fisher took three shots, making two for four points, and handed out four assists. Lauren Angelone had two points and two assists, Ella Kopalek had two points and three rebounds, and Camryn Kopalek added a point. Shannon Heffernan snagged five boards.
Katelyn L'Amoreaux led M-E with 18 points and Allison L'Amoreaux added 17. Spartan senior standout Ashlynn McKnight did not play.
Owego visits U-E Monday.
