Eagles' softball and OFA baseball are on the diamonds today for their first round sectional playoff games, with SVEC facing Whitney Point on the road at noon, and the River Hawks hosting Chenango Valley this evening.

The Eagles begin postseason play today at noon after yesterday's postponement, making the trip to Whitney Point for their first round match-up in the Section IV Class B softball tournament. SVEC comes into the playoffs as the nine-seed. The Eagles and Whitney Point have already faced off twice this year. Whitney Point won the first game, 24-4, but SVEC won the second time around, 4-3.

Owego earned the two-seed in this year's Section IV Class A Tournament. The River Hawks are 14-4-1 and will host the Warriors at home this evening, start time of 5 p.m. In the regular season, OFA swept the Warriors in their three-game series.
