Section IV tennis tournaments get underway today with Newark Valley hosting the Class C West brackets and OFA traveling to compete in the Class B tournament, while OFA and SVEC softball finish up their regular seasons at home.

The Cardinals haven't had much luck with Mother Nature this week. After multiple postponements, Newark Valley gets back on the diamond today at Groton.

With a win today over Waverly, Owego would play at Chenango Valley tomorrow in a tie-breaker to decide the STAC Central champion.

Newark Valley hosts the Section IV Class C West tournament. Michael Wandell and Owen Jerabek will be competing in singles competition for the Cardinals, while Emma Smith and Vincent Finta team up in doubles, as well as Andrew Lelik and Brianna Noble.

OFA will be sending Sam Beyer and DJ Cardone to Maine-Endwell to compete in singles at the Class B tournament. The River Hawks also have Tanner Hayes and Scott Reigle taking part in the doubles bracket.

The Panthers picked up two good wins at Shepard Hills yesterday. S-VE hopes to keep the momentum going when they travel to Marathon this afternoon for IAC action.
