SECTION IV GOLF: S-VE COMPETES IN SOGGY MATCH AT APALACHIN GOLF COURSE (May 8, 2025)

APALACHIN - S-VE girls' golf played through soggy conditions at Apalachin Golf Course on Thursday, with Lauren Gillette earning low medalist honors and the Panthers carding a 259-team total.
S-VE competed with four other teams, including, Vestal, Marathon, Elmira and Watkins Glen.
Marathon carded 207 as a team, while Vestal finished with 254 and Elmira scored a 279-team total.
The Panthers were short handed for the day with only four golfers posting scores. Gillette finished her round with a 43 to earn medalist honors in a round that included a chip-in par on hole 15.
Reece Hickey and Hannah Smith recorded personal bests during their rounds. Hickey shot a 59 and Smith carded a 68. Lily Alison shot an 89 for the day.
Savanna Warfield shot a 44 for Marathon, while Vestal's Addi Webb earned a 59. Hannah Reynolds carded a 66 for Elmira and Watkins Glen's Rowen Stegner scored a 75.
S-VE girls' golf will play again on May 15th against Waverly.
