Tioga County Sports Report
Over 40 events will take place this week, with all area sports teams in action, many of which will be jockeying for position in their division races, as the spring regular season begins to wind down.
Below is a look at this week's schedule of home games:
MONDAY
- SVEC baseball and softball open the week at home to host Edison in IAC action.
- Candor boys' golf welcomes Union Springs to Catatonk Golf Club.
- Newark Valley. baseball and softball host Newfield.
TUESDAY
- S-VE is on their home track to face familiar faces from Candor.
- Eagles softball will back on their own diamond for the second straight day, this time playing Trumansburg.
- Coyotes' boys' golf is at Catatonk again, matching up with Odessa-Montour.
- Newark Valley golf goes head to head with Elmira Notre Dame.
WEDNESDAY
- The Cardinals' golf team is on their own links for the second day in a row, this time in a match with Marathon.
- Owego baseball takes the field for game two of their series with Waverly in an important STAC contest.
- Both S-VE golf teams are at Shepard Hills. The boys will face Candor, while the girls host Lansing.
- SVEC Baseball hopes to get it done at home against Trumansburg in IAC action.
- Candor girls' golf welcomes Dryden at 4 p.m.
THURSDAY
- OFA girls' lacrosse is the lone home game in the area. The River Hawks' are on their home turf to challenge Vestal.
FRIDAY
- River Hawks' softball gets back home, welcoming Waverly.
SATURDAY
- OFA flag football hosts Windsor in their regular season finale.
- OFA Softball is under the lights on their own diamond against Chenango Valley at 7 p.m.
