SECTION IV SOFTBALL: SVEC KEEPS THE MOMENTUM ROLLING WITH 12 RUNS IN WIN OVER CHENANGO FORKS (2025-04-25)

BINGHAMTON - The Eagles earned a fourth straight victory to keep their recent momentum going, downing Chenango Forks on the road, 12-1.
"We are really starting to come together in all aspects of our game," said co-coach Megan Friscia.
"Elliana continues to pitch well and our hitting is getting stronger with each at-bat."
Elliana Middlebrook pitched a complete game for SVEC. Middlebrook fanned 11 batters, while allowing just two hits and one earned run.
Offensively, the top of the lineup set the tone for SVEC. The Eagles got things started with a three-run first inning.
Emma Neish hit a lead off double and advanced to third after a Jillian Holmes single. Next, Faith Brenchley stepped to the plate and cracked a three-run homer to left field.
SVEC plated five more runs in the top part of the second. Neish reached base again on a single and scored after Holmes doubled to right field. Brenchley came up next and once again drove one to left field to score two runs.
Katelyn Klym would double, followed by Olivia Potts earning an extra base hit as well, and scoring Klym. Next up, Ryleigh Bowman knocked a triple to right, driving in Potts.
The Eagles and Forks both scored a run in the fourth, and SVEC plated three more over the next three innings.
Faith Brenchley finished with five RBIs in the game, as well as four runs scored. Neish went 3-for-4 while scoring two runs, and Holmes recorded three hits to go with an RBI.
Olivia Potts had two RBIs on two hits, and Bowman recorded two hits with a run scored.
SVEC is in action again at Lansing on April 28th.
