TRUMANSBURG - Newark Valley tennis went on the road Thursday and notched their second win in consecutive days, defeating the Blue Raiders, 3-2 in IAC action.

Newark Valley's Michael Wandell got back on the winning track, picking up a victory in first singles. Wandell defeated Lee Covell, 6-0, 6-0.

Trumansburg came back and won in second singles. Ryan Paradisin topped Newark Valley's Emma Smith, 6-4, 6-2.

In the third singles match-up, Owen Jerabek earned another win for the Cardinals, besting Tyshoe Bashart, 6-3, 6-1.

Vincent Finta and Andrew Lelik won in first doubles for Newark Valley, beating Lena Everhart and June Woffurd, 6-1, 6-3.

Trumansburg's Zoehan Ferreri and Ezra Garrison won their second doubles match in straight sets over Joe Jerabek and Gabby James, 6-3, 6-3.

Newark Valley tennis will try for a third straight team win when they host Southern Cayuga on April 28th.
