TRACK & FIELD: NEWFIELD SWEEPS DOUBLE DUAL MEET HOSTED BY CANDOR (2025-04-22)

CANDOR- The Coyotes hosted a double dual meet on Tuesday, with the girls' team earning a victory over Thomas Edison, while the boys' side fell short to both Edison and Newfield.
Newfield swept the girls' side, defeating Edison, 67-41 and besting Candor, 61-43. The Candor girls earned their team victory over Edison, 69-42.
Girls' Results:
Candor's Lindsey Morse won the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.9.
Claire Rollins earned second for the Coyotes in the 100-meter dash, running 13.5, while JennaRose Reagan finished third with 13.8.
Zoey Lang took second in the 1500m, clocking 5:56.7, while Megan Williamson placed third in the 400m with 1:07.5.
In the 800-meters, Lang ran 2:56.6 for third and Montana Vorhis finished fourth, clocking 2:59.3.
Williamson ran 28.5 to place fourth in the 200m, and Morse finished fifth with 29.7.
Candor's Ayasha Schweiger won the high jump by leaping 4-8, while JennaRose Reagan won the discus with a throw of 70-8. Reagan placed second in the shot put for the girls' team, heaving 24-8. Morse earned victory in the long jump with 15-3 3/4.
Newfield swept the boys' side as well by defeating Candor, 92-30 and besting Edison, 81-49. The Coyotes' boys' team fell to Edison, 67-34.
Boys' Results:
Candor's Charlie Hilbert earned second in the 100m with 11.7. Jakobe Foster finished fourth, running 12.2.
In the boys' 1600m, Gage Spencer ran 5:55.2 for fourth place. Rod Vaow fished second for the Coyotes in the 400m, running 58.7.
James Kane won the 800-meters for Candor with 2:22.4, while Hilbert won the 200m with 24.7. Foster went 24.8 for second place. Candor's Thurston Haner took eighth in the discus, throwing 55-11.
Coyotes' track and field with run again at Ithaca on April 25th.
