IAC BASEBALL: SVEC BLANKS DRYDEN TO KEEP WIN STREAK ROLLING (2025-04-21)

Tioga County Sports Report
CANDOR - The Eagles returned from break on Monday, picking up where they left off with a 10-0 win over Dryden to make it five straight victories.

"The boys had another solid win tonight. We were a little rusty to start, and I think that was because of spring break," SVEC co-coach Tyler Lloyd said.

"What I love about this team is that they always bounce back from tough situations. Multiple times we made errors or loaded the bases today, but instead of compounding the errors, these boys dig deep and figure it out. That's a great quality to have."

Zach Lang went four innings on the mound for the Eagles, allowing just one hit while striking out five.

SVEC got home in the first after Logan Aman doubled and was then driven in by Cameron Sinn.

In the second inning, SVEC plated six more runs. Wyatt Ross lead off with a base-hit. James Chrysler walked and Clayton Bower singled to load the bases. Ross would score by stealing home, and Logan Aman then doubled to bring in Chrysler. With two outs, Bower stole home and Aman also scored due to an error by the catcher. Zach Lang doubled to right, driving in the final two runs of a big second inning.

The Eagles plated another run in the home half of the third when Chrysler scored on a Kellen Williamson ground ball, double to left field. SVEC's final two runs of the evening came in the fifth.

Sinn was 3-for-4 in the game, driving in three runs. Logan Aman scored three times, while going 2-for-2 at the plate. Lang knocked in two runs for the game. Deveon Aman and Ross each scored a run in the Eagles win.

SVEC will go for win number six at Trumansburg on Wednesday.
