NEWARK VALLEY - The Cardinals fell to a well rounded Lansing team on Monday afternoon, 5-0 in IAC tennis action.

Lansing's Toby Rigdon earned the first singles win, defeating Michael Wandell 6-2, 6-1.

In second singles action, Carter Watts bested Newark Valley's Emma Smith, 6-4, 6-4.

The Cardinals' Owen Jerabek fell in straight sets to Dean Licitra, 6-2, 6-2 in a third singles contest.

Lansing's Toli Ayar and Fisher Boerman defeated Vincent Finta and Andrew Lelik, 6-1, 6-0 in the first doubles match, while Newark Valley's Joe Jerabek and Gabby James lost their second doubles match, 6-1, 6-0.

Newark Valley tennis will be back on the courts April 23rd, when they host Elmira Notre Dame.
