Tioga County Sports Report
ENDWELL - OFA girls' lacrosse got back in the win column on a rainy and frigid night, going on the road to defeat STAC rival, Maine-Endwell, 10-8.
The weather was miserable the entire night, but OFA was aggressive from beginning to end. Lexi Herceg lead the charge for the River Hawks, netting six goals for a double hat trick. Herceg controlled four ground balls as well.
Shannon Maslin came up big in goal. The standout goalie made six key saves on the night. Madison McEvoy snapped in two goals along with one assist, while Jenna McEvoy and Izzy Herceg each found the net once in Thursday's game.
Ashleigh Steele and Keira Henry each had three ground balls, while Amelia Sherman chipped in an assist during tonight's action.
"It was an amazing performance all around," said coach Ashlee Marsh.
"The girls played hard and with intensity from start to finish. Shannon had an outstanding night in goal and Lexi with her double hat trick. We're looking to build off this momentum tonight."
Owego improves to 2-2 on the season and will host Johnson City next on April 15th.
