WAVERLY - SVE girls' golf picked up two team wins on Wednesday afternoon playing host to Candor, Vestal and Watkins Glen.

SVE's Lauren Gillette carded a 48, playing solid bogey golf until her last two holes against Vestal's Allison Yoon. Yoon recorded two pars on the day to finish with a 45, the low score of the match.

SVE finished with a 227 team total. Lily Kunzman shot a 56, while Delilah Alpert carded a 61 and Reece Hickey finished with a 62. Alpert carded a par on hole seven to finish her round.

The Coyotes' ended the afternoon with a 269 team total. Emma Veasey carded a 62, while Tessa White shot a 63 and Gwen Shaw finished with a 65. Lydia Kunte carded a 79 for her round.

"I am pleased with the girls' effort in the first match of the season," said Candor coach, Jason Banks.

"Emma had a rough start and did well to turn her round in the positive direction to lead the team," added Banks.

Vestal finished the day with a 256 team total, while Watkins Glen only had three golfers compete.
