STAC TENNIS: OWEGO DROPS STAC MATCHUP ON THE HARD COURT TO WAVERLY (2025-04-08)

OWEGO - Despite picking up wins in first and second singles, OFA tennis dropped their home matchup with Waverly on Monday, 5-2.
Sam Beyer won his first singles match-up in straight sets, defeating Waverly's Logan Roskow, 6-0 and 6-0.
D.J. Cardone picked up a solid victory in second singles, winning 6-0, 6-1 over Waverly's Finn Williams.
In the first doubles contest, Owego dropped their match, when Scott Reigle and Tanner Hayes lost to Zach Moran and Nate McEwan, 6-2 and 6-3 in straight sets.
OFA's Anakyn Basile-Crawford fell in a very competitive third singles match with Savannah Savercool of Waverly. Savercool won the first set, but Anakyn battled to win the second set, 6-2. After agreeing to make the third set a 10-point tiebreak because of weather, Savercool took it 10-5.
Owego unfortunately had to forfeit three other matches. The River Hawks are back on the court Wednesday against Oneonta.
