Owego senior, Kaelyn Katchuk captured the 3m title at the AAU Blue North Diving Championships over the weekend in New London, CT.

The championships were held at Connecticut College. Her score of 383.45 earned her a spot on the AAU International Team going to Croatia this summer, as well as the upcoming AAU Indoor and Outdoor National Diving Championships in North Carolina and California.

In order to achieve victory, Katchuk had to beat a score of 363.85, posted by 2024 New York State diving champion, Elizabeth Pucci-Schaeffer out of Fredonia. 

Katchuk also finished second in the 1m event with a score of 324.05.

“Kaelyn and Elizabeth are friends and their paths will cross during their college diving careers. At this point, we’ll need to figure out which competitions make sense to schedule that will help her get ready for joining the Boston University Diving Team this fall," said Katchuk's coach, Roger Katchuk.
