Six events begin the week with Cardinals' Baseball and SVE outdoor at home, while five teams are traveling for their first competition of the spring.

Whitney Point comes to Newark Valley this afternoon, where the Cardinals' hold their first game of the spring campaign.

SVE hosts four other teams including Candor, O-M, Moravia, and Marathon.

The youthful Cardinals have a few first year players and are looking to get some experience in the early going when they travel to S. Cayuga.

The Eagles held a scrimmage to end last week. They now get the regular season underway when they head to Oxford.
