SECTION IV BASEBALL: SVEC DROPS SEASON OPENER ON THE ROAD TO WINDSOR (2025-03-29)

WINDSOR - Spencer-Van Etten/Candor kept the Black Knights off the scoreboard early on before being done in by a couple big innings and dropping their season opener to Windsor, 12-0 Saturday afternoon.
Zach Lang pitched solid in the early going, striking out three and getting through the first two innings without surrendering a run.
What looked like was going to be another scoreless third inning, quickly went the other way. With two outs in the bottom half of the inning, Windsor loaded the bases and eventually brought five runs across home plate.
The Black Knights knocked in another two runs during the fifth and five more in the home part of the sixth, for the 12-0 win.
Logan Aman lead the Eagles offensively, going 2-for-3. Wyatt Ross and Xavier Beach tacked on a hit each for SVEC. Kellen Williamson showed a good eye, drawing two walks.
Lang gave up five hits and five runs while striking out three in the opener. Deveon Amen, Williamson and Cam Sinn combined for 3.1 innings in relief.
Eagles baseball will take the diamond again next on April 2nd at home against Lansing.
