VAN ETTEN - SVEC softball in an effort to continue readying for the start of the season, hosted Newfield for a scrimmage late Friday afternoon.
When asked about her thoughts on the scrimmage, head coach Megan Friscia said "Our defense was solid when the ball was hit and our bats were alive the whole time. We know what we need to work on going into a three game week next week."
The Eagles open on the road March 31st against Oxford.
