IAC BOYS BASKETBALL: NEWARK VALLEY'S WOJTYSIAK EARNS FIRST-TEAM LARGE SCHOOL SOUTH HONORS; DOUGHER NAMED TO SECOND TEAM (2025-03-21)

NEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley junior Tim Wojtysiak was named an IAC South Large School Division first-team all-stars, and teammate senior Anthony Dougher was named to the second team in recent voting by the league's coaches.

Notre Dame's Gabe Patterson was named the divisional MVP.

FIRST TEAM
Tim Wojtysiak, junior, Newark Valley: A dangerous 3-point shooter, Wojtysiak could score from anywhere, and also led his team in assists.

He averaged 17.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.1 deflections, 1.5 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. He knocked down 60 3-pointers on the season and shot 31 percent from the arc.

Also named to the first team were: Watkins Glen sophomore Jude Santos and Christopher Simiele, and Notre Dame junior Finn Schweizer.

SECOND TEAM
Anthony Dougher, senior, Newark Valley: A force in the low-post for the Cardinals, Dougher averaged 11.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 2.3 deflections, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game.

Also named to the second team were: Notre Dame senior Luke Richards, junior Menilik Jenkins, and Max O'Connor, and Watkins Glen senior Sam Carlin.
