IAC WRESTLING: DRYDEN GETS THE UPPER HAND AGAINST NEWARK VALLEY (2019-01-18)

NEWARK VALLEY - Dryden won five of eight contested bouts to hand Newark Valley a 44-25 IAC Division I loss here Wednesday.

The Cardinals' victories on the mat came from Cam Carrier at 160 pounds, Connor Jacobson at 170 and Joey Woodmansee at 195.

Woodmansee pinned Nate Hollenbeck in 1:35, Jacobson racked up a 13-4 major decision over Kole Krause and Carrier decisioned Vincent Scott, 7-1.

Josh Duke (220) and Trentyn Rupert (285) received forfeits.

Both teams compete in the IAC championships Saturday at Waverly.
