SECTION IV WRESTLING: OWEGO SEEDED 6TH FOR DUAL MEET CHAMPIONSHIPS; TIOGA FAVORED (2019-01-14)

WALTON, N.Y. - Owego has drawn the sixth seed for the Section IV Division II Dual Meet Championship to be held here Tuesday evening.

The Indians will face defending champion and third-seed Norwich in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. The winner advances to the semifinals against No. 2 Windsor immediately afterward.

The other quarterfinal pits No. 4 BGAH against No. 5 Walton / Delhi with the winner meeting top-seeded Tioga in the semis.

The finals will be held following the conclusion of the semis.

Admission is $5 ($3 for seniors and students).

The D1 championship will be held at Chenango Forks with the fourth-seeded Blue Devils facing top-seeded Corning and No. 2 Elmira taking on No. 3 Horseheads. The finals will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Winners of each division advance to to the NYSPHSAA Dual Meet Championships Jan. 26 at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse.
