DRYDEN - Ten different players contributed points as Newark Valley rolled to a 59-29 IAC crossover victory against Dryden here Tuesday.

Bri Beebe led the Cardinals with 13 points, doing all her damage before halftime.  Mackenna Nechwedowich added 11 points to the NV effort.

The duo scored seven points apiece in the first quarter as the Cardinals built a 24-4 cushion.

Beebe had three buckets, Hannah Ferguson added a pair of baskets and Chelsea Fuller knocked down a 3-pointer in a 17-4 second-quarter run which gave NV a 41-8 advantage at the break.

Bebe added five steals and three assists to her point total, and Nechwedowich added six rebounds and three blocks to hers.

Ferguson chipped in with eight points, five rebounds and three steals; Gracie Gardner had seven points and six boards; and Tressa Nechwedowich added six points and five boards. Marissa Berghorn dished out three assists and Kendra Morris grabbed three steals.

Madeline Harris led the Purple Lions with 13 points.

Newark Valley hosts Whitney Point Friday.
